• The importance of learning English

 Throughout my education, my teachers have instilled in me to learn a second language, which is English, since it is essential today, because it is the language that allows you to access information from all over the world, it should be noted that in the professional world Mastering this language helps us to have conversations with teachers, mentors, friends and acquaintances from other countries. As students during the COVID-19 pandemic, I am going to use all means of communication and technology to practice this language more.

Having access to this language, I am going to investigate technological and medical advances that occur in other countries.

• Tips for learning a second language online

 1. Identify your learning style.

2. Watch series cartoons, dramas or news.

3. Listen to music or podcast.

4. Practice with friends or partners.

5. Save and subscribe to online courses.

• My English learning from home:

At first I thought it was going to be stressful, but when I was in class the activities became very practical for me, honestly it is not the same as having a face-to-face class, but one adapts, I complement my university classes with a online course that I signed up for 2 months ago that helps me extend and practice my vocabulary.

English is a subject that requires practice, perseverance and discipline.

1) The importance of learning English for your professional  future

It’s not a secret that  English is the universal language. Many people are learning English to speak with people from other countries, to increase up their knowledge about other countries, to travel and to get a good job.  This last reason has been very popular in recent years. The English wasn’t important in the past but it is  important in the present. Knowing English is important for many jobs for example: trader, tourist guide, diplomat, etc . Nowadays many companies, institutions and factories give preference to applicants who speak a second language.  In short, the person who knows English has a very broad field of work. Also, learning English is good when you are a university student. This language is useful if you are going to participate in a student exchange or if you are going to  read the latest scientific texts.

2) Tips to learn a second language online

1. Listen to music.

2. Watch movies and Tv shows.

3. Learn new vocabulary every day

4. Read about an interesting topic for you. For example: biology, history, art, etc.

5. Learn with a teacher through a  platform

6. Study an hour every day.

7. Make friends from other countries through social networks.

3) My  experience learning English virtually

I studied  English in a school  nine months ago and I’ve been learning English online for a year. There are some differences between the two modalities. One difference is that learning online is comfortable and learning in person modality is uncomfortable but the two modalities are very good and fun. I really recommend this modality beacuase I learn new vocabulary every class ,I talk with my teacher and classmates, I play grammar games and I have a flexible schedule.

The importance of learning English

The fact that English is the most spoken language in the word serves to justify the importance of English in the globalized word.

And I'm going to tell you some good reasons to study English for our profesional future:

Learning English is very important in order to have a better future and to have the job of our dreams. Another reason to learn English is that it helps us to have  better acces to education and even to estudy another career or a medical specialty in my case. And finally studying English is a way to learn another culture, lifestyles and to meet new and interesting  people.

The tips I recommend for learning a second language online are:

·     I have learned English in a easy way by watching movies or my favorite series in English and with Spanish subtitles so you can learn new vocabulary. Talking to family or friends who have good pronunciation I have done it and it works perfectly to improve pronunciation. And finally listen to music in English that makes me feel happy and the most important thing is that I’m learning English.

My learning English from home:

I have found it very satisfying to learn English from home the classes are very entertaining and creative. Over time I learned to improve my participation in class and not being in front of many people helps me to have security and confidence.

I thought English World be difficult but it turned out to be very interesting and fun.

I think that learning a new language is an incredible experience and there is nothing better than doing it from home.
